Danforth Acquires Tougher Industries Enterprises, Inc.

On December 31, 2013 Danforth announced that it had acquired the assets of Albany based Tougher Industries Enterprises, Inc. and agreed to terms to bring the two companies together.
Danforth has been in the Mechanical Contracting and Service business for over 130 years. Founded in 1884 in Buffalo, New York by John Willison Danforth, Danforth was started with the goal of providing the highest quality Residential and Commercial Heating Systems. Today Danforth has offices in Tonawanda, Victor and Clifton Park, New York and have grown to become the 7th largest Mechanical Contractor in the Northeast. Danforth offers a broad range of services including Mechanical Construction, Design & Build Services, Energy Services and Comprehensive Equipment and System Maintenance Services. Additionally, they have in-house engineering, fabrication and installation experts to deliver complete mechanical solutions serving the Manufacturing, Education, Municipal and Commercial semi-conductor and process-work markets.
By acquiring Tougher Industries Enterprises, Danforth has bolstered their service capabilities and now offer comprehensive maintenance services in the Capital and Hudson Valley Regions of New York State. Tougher’s Albany and Poughkeepsie offices have also been thrown into the mix allowing Danforth to reach an ever larger consumer base than before.
Danforth is committed to maintaining a relationship with all of the existing and future customers of Tougher Industries Enterprises, Inc. to accomplish all of their operational goals. This acquisition will help both companies better serve customers’ needs across the Capital and Hudson Valley regions.
