Senior Buyer Recognized for Going the Extra Mile
Published Date – Sep 8, 2016
Tonawanda based Senior Buyer, Mark Moretti, is the latest recipient of the Power of Our People Award. This award is given out to those who display a passion for their work, their company and the industry. Mark exhibits each of these qualities every day he comes to work.
Mark began his career with Danforth 20 years ago as a driver in Niagara Falls, NY. His main responsibility was to deliver tools and supplies to Danforth’s field tradesmen on jobsites across Western New York. He eventually made his way into the office and became a buyer for the company.
Mark was recognized this month for going above and beyond to support, mentor and train Danforth’s procurement team. As the company continues to grow, Mark makes it a point to help new employees acclimate to Danforth. Mark also takes on an active role in community events through the company. He eagerly volunteers to procure prizes and giveaways for Danforth sponsored fundraisers.
Mark was nominated by his supervisor, Dennis Currie, who is responsible for Danforth’s state-wide purchasing team. He said, “Mark embraces change and graciously takes on new challenges to improve the department as a whole.”
