Theresa Hill Most Recent Power of our People Award Recipient
Danforth’s CEO Kevin “Duke” Reilly and President Robert Beck were please to present the Power of our People Award to Theresa Hill, Subcontract Coordinator in Danforth’s Victor office. Duke and Robert nominated Theresa for the award after learning of the “Pay It Forward” drive she arranged over the past several months. Throughout the summer at each of Danforth’s three employee summer appreciation lunches, Theresa encouraged her co-workers to donate the money they would have spent on lunch to purchase school supplies, clothing and personal care items for the children of veterans who live in low income housing on the Canandaigua VA Medical Center property.
Theresa’s “Pay It Forward” drive supports one of Danforth’s Key Strategies – community engagement, and demonstrates the leadership she brings to the Rochester region office and the company.
The donation was also covered by the local news and can be read here: http://www.mpnnow.com/news/20180824/danforth-donates-supplies-to-canandaigua-va-students
About the Power of Our People Award
Danforth has been an industry leader since 1884. We have strategically invested in physical assets such as office space across New York State, over 100,000 ft² of fabrication space, a large vehicle fleet and state-of-the-art tools to deliver the highest quality projects to our customers.
Our most important asset is our people.
The Power of Our People Award is given to those who go beyond the call of duty day-in and day-out. Without our people and their commitment to excellence, Danforth would not be a best in class contractor that it is known as in the market. At Danforth, we believe in the Power of Our People and recognizing our employees for their hard work and dedication. We are committed to investing in our employees to develop them professionally and personally so that the legacy of our founder, John W. Danforth, will live on.
