NYS Fairgrounds Exposition Center Receives Jeffrey J. Zogg Build New York Award

Danforth was proud to be recognized as a contributing team member on the NYS Fairgrounds Exposition Center when the project received the Jeffrey J. Zogg Build NY Award earlier this year. The new Expo Center totals 136,000 square feet and is the largest facility of its kind north of New York City between Boston and Cleveland. The building opened just in time for the 2018 New York State Fair and is helping to make the fairgrounds in Syracuse into a year-round destination and event center. The massive center took less than one year to construct, and Danforth was part of the team that helped to deliver the project on time and on budget. The company’s success on this project was made possible by all of our dedicated employees – from project management to CAD to purchasing and all of our union partners in the shops and field – we thank you for the long hours and hard work you put in to this award-winning project!

The Build New York Awards program was developed in 1990 with a mission to highlight the positive impact of the construction industry in New York State. Awarded by the Associated General Contractors of New York State, the program has recognized over 120 projects in its almost 30 year history. The awards recognize the team of general contractor, owner, architect, engineer, subcontractors and suppliers who step up to the challenge and come together to complete amazing work across the state.
