Bly Presented with Power of Our People Award
Danforth’s Rich DeLotto was proud to nominate and present Rich Bly, Piping Foreman, with the Power of our People Award at a recent all company meeting. Rich was recognized for the industry leading experience he provided to FIFCO USA on the 79 Perry Street project. FIFCO USA’s Director of Retail Strategy and Business Development provided an outstanding recommendation of Rich’s leadership on the project. In the recommendation the director wrote: “If you hire JW Danforth and have the pleasure of working with Rich Bly, you can expect full commitment to the job and high-quality work. Rich takes care of the customer and looks out for their best interest – whether by jumping on an unscheduled conference call, coming in on the weekend so he doesn’t disrupt employees, or taking the time to explain in layman’s terms what he’s doing/how something works. I can approach Rich via phone, email or in the field and he’s going to give me the time I need to chat with him or ask questions until I’m comfortable. As for quality, I was thoroughly impressed – shocked actually – when the brewery started up with no issues. Especially since this was Danforth’s first brewery job. It’s a 10 bbl, 4 vessel brewhouse with 11 fermenters, 8 brite tanks, hot and cold liquor tanks, a boiler, chiller and a unique stack condenser to capture the steam from the brew kettle and recycle that steam into water. All this in a 100+ year old building. Not your typical job, and they nailed it.”
