In 2019, New York State passed a landmark Climate Act that commits the state to the most ambitious greenhouse gas emission reduction and renewable energy targets in the nation, and they did not stop there. In 2020, Governor and Legislature went on to pass legislation that overhauled the siting process for large-scale renewable energy siting projects. This workshop will bring you up to speed on the state’s bold climate actions and how they will affect your county.
