NAWIC Officially Announces Buffalo Niagara Chapter and 2020 – 2021 Board of Directors
The National Association of Women in Construction, better known as NAWIC recently launched a local chapter for the Western New York region. The NAWIC Buffalo Niagara Chapter consists of women from all different realms of the construction industry and will provide opportunities to learn from each other, grow your network and broaden your knowledge in the construction industry on both local and national levels.
During the initial kickoff meeting, the newly formed chapter voted for the Board of Directors.

Madalyn Murphy – Board Member, Campus Construction Management
Congratulations to Danforth’s WNY Service Operations Manager Michelle Gerace, for being elected to the Board of Directors. Michelle has nearly 30 years of knowledge and expertise in construction operations and is excited to be part of this brand new venture to represent women in our region.
Danforth’s Marketing Specialist, Christina Crane was selected to serve on the chapter’s Marketing Committee. She will be assisting with marketing content and materials surrounding the chapter including social media, website posts and other marketing collateral.
Danforth’s Purchasing Agent, Deanna Gokey was selected to serve on the chapter’s Membership Committee. Deanna will be assisting with new membership opportunities and recruitment on behalf of the chapter.
The official chartering event for the NAWIC Buffalo Niagara Chapter will take place virtually on January 28, 2021 at 5 pm. All are welcome to attend this event and the chapter encourages employers and supervisors of members sponsored to join as well.
NAWIC Buffalo-Niagara will host its monthly meetings, the first Thursday of the month going forward.
