Reilly Memorial Scholarship Winner Honored with the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence
Hunter DeJonge, a Construction Management student from Alfred State College, was recently honored with the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence.
According to Alfred State’s website, this award recognizes someone who demonstrates academic excellence in integration with leadership, athletics, creative and performing arts, community service, campus involvement or career achievement.
DeJonge, a resident of Clifton Springs, previously received the Reilly Memorial Scholarship at the MCAA Great Futures Conference. In addition to his studies and the ROTC Program, Hunter has played an active role as a part time Project Manager for Danforth, focusing on projects that are taking place right on Alfred State’s Campus. Danforth is excited to welcome Hunter aboard this summer with a full time job opportunity based out of our Rochester location.
“Hunter is a great example of someone we want to continue Danforth’s legacy to work hard and showcase high performance, no compromise in all our projects. We can’t wait to see what lies ahead for Hunter and we are excited to have him join us full time this summer,” said John Samar, Executive Vice President of Operations.
