Danforth Rings in Holiday Cheer in Style
John W. Danforth Company used a unique way to drop off presents this year to the Salvation Army in Buffalo, NY and Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Danforth doesn’t have a sleigh or reindeer, but they do have a Big Green Firetruck with flashing lights that brings smiles and joy around the holiday season.
Danforth’s Buffalo team wrapped up their fifth Annual Holiday Toy Drive for The Salvation Army where the team collected donations which included a number of toys, board games, hats, gloves, scarves and more to help families in need for the holiday season. For the second year, members of the Danforth team also fulfilled children’s gift wishes through the Angel Tags Program, where a child will put down a specific wish list item that they want.
“It is great to see everyone come together and give back to families who are less fortunate. We love helping these families out so they can have a nice Christmas. Community is vital and it is important to give back,” said Christina Kramarz, Marketing Manager.
The Rochester Office dropped off bags filled with toys, games, books, crayons, and other gifts for children in the hospital’s Wegman’s Child Life Program.
“We are so happy to do this and bring some smiles to children’s faces,” said Theresa Hill, Collections Manager. “No child wants to be in the hospital, but having a gift or toy that they can use while they are here can make that experience better for them.”
