Position Summary:

The Estimating Administrator is responsible for handling the day to day business administrative needs of the Estimating Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage day to day document entry into Bid Tracer
  • Manage bid invites to vendor, equipment representatives and subcontractors through Bid Tracer
  • Maintain estimating bid calendar within Bid Tracer
  • Take the lead administrative role for ordering, organization and tracking all bid documents
  • Manage the return of all documents that can receive a refund
  • Assist in the preparation of the turnover folder / binder and the turn over form
  • Assist in the ordering of all bid bonds
  • Handle all required day to day word processing (typing) of correspondence for the entire estimating team
  • Build and maintain a record filing system for all proposals and customer correspondence
  • Coordinate bid deliveries

Qualifications & Training:

  • AAS degree or equivalent experience required.  Specialized skill training/certification may be required
  • Requires excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced office environment
  • Ability to work with the suite of Microsoft office tools with particular attention to Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff of other parts of the company
  • Ability to work flexible hours from time to time to meet bid deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience within the Construction Industry preferred
