Payroll Specialist
OVERVIEW
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for assisting the payroll department with collecting, verifying and entering time sheets, employee information and payroll data into the system. Must have the ability to work well independently and possess sound communication skills to interact with employees, management and co-workers. This position requires great computer proficiency and attention to detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the payroll team in processing hourly staff payroll on a weekly basis meeting daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
- Data entry into payroll system
- Perform other related duties as required
- Follow through on all assigned tasks in a timely manner until completion
- Maintain vendor records and contact information
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maintain a positive attitude and work environment
- Must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of an Accounting team
- Understanding of accounts payable and related processes
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Desire to learn and grow within an organization
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving abilities and time management skills
- Ability to be an effective team player
