Several years after completing construction for Phase I of this data center, Danforth was selected as the mechanical contractor for the Phase II expansion. Danforth was contracted to provide procurement, coordination, installation and start-up of all  HVAC and plumbing systems for the HSBC Data Center Expansion.

The Danforth team provided a complete construction service package inclusive of VDC coordination, scheduling and logistics management, installation, start-up and testing/balancing of all mechanical and plumbing systems. A critical element of this project was the integration and testing of an entirely new chiller, associated pumping systems, and air handling/computer air conditioning units, into an existing chilled water system that was continuously online to support the data processing equipment within the facility.

Utilizing our familiarity with the facility and its existing systems, Danforth was able to install and integrate the new chiller without interrupting any services necessary for ongoing operation at the site. Our team successfully completed the expansion project and continued building a meaningful relationship with the owner.
