The Larkin at Exchange Building  was built in 1912. This 600,000 square foot building, located in downtown Buffalo was purchased by CityView Properties in June 2002. The company invested approximately $40 million dollars in the restoration of the building. Danforth was an integral part of the project with contracts totaling over $6,000,000.

Danforth provided HVAC, plumbing and design-build services for tenant build-outs on various floors, including Kaleida Health, US Customs and Border Protection, and First Niagara Financial Group. Stairwell air pressurization was also addressed, to meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes. Danforth also completed work on a custom ventilation system serving the secure area and vault for the US Customs.

As a result of this rehabilitation, the building is now occupied at near capacity and has proven to be a successful reuse of a historic and previously abandoned building. The rebirth of the building has also resulted in the rebirth of the surrounding neighborhood, bringing an old part of the city of Buffalo back to life.
