Mid-Atlantic Data Center Integrated Manufacturing Project

Project Description

O V E R V I E W

In 2018, Danforth was contracted to fabricate materials for a new 500,000 square foot data center in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Our scope included manufacturing piping utility assemblies and associated hangers. We also coordinated and sourced transporting the completed assemblies from our shops to the jobsite for timely installations by installing contractor.

We prepared several of our manufacturing facilities to be in a state of readiness for our customer. The piping assemblies ranged in size from 1” diameter to 24” diameter pipe and up to 44 feet long. All told our pipe spool count reached over 700 and weld inches neared 20,000. In addition, we manufactured hundreds of structural steel hangers necessary for the pipe installation. Our in-house QA/QC program verified all welds and product was fabricated to our client’s specifications prior to leaving our facilities.
