Golisano Children’s Hospital was a new build that began construction in September 2012. Danforth was an integral part of the design team that was responsible for the layout of the HVAC piping and ductwork, plumbing, medical gas and fire protection. The Danforth Team collaborated with the project team to identify potential conflicts in design and propose innovative solutions before construction commenced.

The Danforth Team then fabricated and installed the complex building systems. These systems included custom air handling units, exhaust fans, medical air compressors, medical vacuum units, pumps, heat exchangers, clean steam generators and stair pressurization units. The result of the project was a state-of-the-art Children’s Hospital.
