In the summer of 2016, Danforth opened a dedicated stainless steel and cleanroom fabrication facility. This facility is one of the few fabrication shops of its kind in the northeast and gives us the ability to fabricate systems in a controlled environment to the quality and purity levels necessitated by several industries, including the advanced technology manufacturing industry.

The 17,600 square foot stand-alone facility is made up of 11,000 square feet for stainless steel piping fabrication, 4,000 square feet of an ISO class 6 clean room and 2,600 square feet of office space to support these operations. These dedicated spaces allow us to maintain stringent quality control while fabricating general purity and high purity systems.

For general purity systems, our welders carry certifications in the Stick, MIG, TIG, and TIP TIG processes. Before leaving our facility, all work is checked for quality. We also have the ability to provide hydrostatic testing and weld surface passivation for customers that require these processes.

Within the high purity cleanroom fabrication space, we utilize hand and orbital weld machines to join stainless steel tubing, as well as an IR fusion machine to join a variety of plastics for any type of high purity process piping system need. Argon gas is used in this space to maintain the purity of the pipe throughout the process. We perform all necessary QA/QC checks in the cleanroom space and cap and bag all tube ends to preserve cleanliness.
