Kaleida Health made significant investments in the Buffalo medical market as well as with the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. The construction of the new Global Vascular Institute kicked off a string of projects tied to these investments.

Danforth was awarded the mechanical contract portion of the project. Danforth installed sophisticated heating and cooling and plumbing systems throughout the new 8-story building. Additionally, Danforth was tasked with installing extensive storm draining and waste vent piping. The facility required custom manufactured indoor and outdoor air handling units. As one of the largest projects in the history of our company at the time, completing the project to the owners’ expectations and within the project deadline was a significant achievement.

Kaleida Health and SUNY Buffalo continue to conduct research and provide top quality patient care, while also facilitating medical student education within this facility. Danforth continues to work with Kaleida Health and with SUNY Buffalo as they further strengthen the region’s medical market.
