The Danforth Team was awarded the mechanical contract for the state-of-the-art LECOM Harborcenter project located in Downtown Buffalo, NY.

approach

The project was broken up into many phases in which Danforth was selected to provide HVAC and Plumbing systems for the new Marriot hotel, two-story restaurant, five-story parking garage and two ice rinks.

Upon project completion, Danforth provided fully 3-D coordinated CAD model of the building’s mechanical systems that were used during fabrication and construction. The modeling provided detailed layouts of all the pipe, valves and fittings associated with this project as well as, several boilers and cooling towers, rink dehumidification system, sheet metal, Fan coil units, heat pumps and a natural gas piping system.

results

After completion of the work, Danforth performed commissioning work and start-up services to help ensure the equipment and systems were operating as designed.
